JOIN US FOR A SUNSET RIDE IN NORTH MALLORCA AND RIDE THE LOOKBOOK

Sir Bradley Wiggins has referred to the roads of Mallorca as a "Scalextric track for bicycles", and with good reason. The roads are smooth as silk, fresh black tarmac and the descents are fast and exhilarating with hairpins coming thick and fast like peas on a string.

Mallorca is any rider’s paradise. At the height of Spring season it also shows. There are riders everywhere, but let us be honest - the real beauty of Mallorca is not found from the back of a peloton of hundreds.

To really experience, and appreciate, the true spectacle of the island, the stunning views, solitary roads and chasing a glowing orange sky you need to rise early or ride as the sun sets in the late afternoon.

The Isadore Spring/Summer 2015 Lookbook was created this way, and now you can join us for a glowing evening ride into the sunset and visit some of the beautiful and hidden locations used in the lookbook. Away from the hustle and bustle.

Together with KENNET from BIKE_NNET GUIDED TOURS you are invited to join the Isadore "RIDE THE LOOKBOOK" evening ride on WEDNESDAY 22ND. APRIL 2015.

REGISTRATION IS FREE.

The ride will depart from the Isadore Pop-Up Store at Bikehead in Port D’Alcudia.

18.00 - DEPARTURE

21.00 - ESTIMATED RETURN

The ride will lead from Port D’Alcudia through the old town of Alcudia via the coastline of Pollenca bay to Port de Pollenca.

From here we make our way towards Cami Vell de Sant Vicenc leading us through mountainous landscape towards Cala Sant Vincenc. Once at the bay of Cala Sant Vicenc, with its stunning ocean views, we head upwards across battered tarmac, from the rough sea below us, leading to a spectacular hidden valley-view as the sun slowly sets.

From Cala Sant Vicenc we ride back to Port de Pollenca and head straight for the first half of the climb to Cap de Formentor. The climb itself is a moderate, intermediate climb, but it will have you on your toes. As the sun sets, and the orange glow starts bathing the mountain overlooking Pollenca bay, we head further upward from the viewpoint overlooking El Voltor bay, to a section often overlooked by most riders.

With views over the glowing switchbacks beneath you we make our way towards Talaia D’Albercutx - the highest point above Pollenca Bay where you will realize why exactly it is you ride your bike.

After a short photo-stop we descend fast into the setting sun towards Port de Pollenca where we stop for a coffee in the evening glow.

TO JOIN THE ISADORE "RIDE THE LOOKBOOK" IS FREE.

ESTIMATED RIDING TIME: 3 hours

The Isadore "RIDE THE LOOKBOOK" ride is a SOCIAL RIDE at moderate pace.
