  great versatile wool T-shirt

  I'm far from an Adonis, but this shirt has all the comfort of a soft T, with that amazing warm/cool you get from great merino. I've worn it for a workout ride as an underlayer, but also just out and about. It will be great as the season warms up, too. It's very breathable but makes for a great base--just the right amount of cling to make you feel more fit than you probably are. Four Stars from here as I'd prefer the collar not be notched, but it isn't a deal-breaker for such quality of wool and stitching.

  Merino Base Layer

  Every autumn I add a couple more of Isadore baselayers to my wardrobe. I use them for everything: running, cycling, weightlifting and even as "pijamas". Whenever I can't find one in my closet I know my girlfriend has stolen another one from me :)

  On your skin, nothing better to be in contact with your body more than merrino wool. Min oddor perfect for long rides nothing can make you comfy more than it under any top layer.

  The perfect shirt for training and everyday wear

  Merino wool is a great material to have close to the body when training. Have bought a number of merino wool sweaters from Isadore and am very satisfied with the quality and fit. Delivery and service work very well

  pretty perfect

  I wore this yesterday on a mixed road/gravel/woods ride, under a short sleeve jersey. I started with arm warmers that soon came off. While the temperature reached 20ºc in the sun it varied greatly depending on shade and speed, open road vs woods. I was able to modulate my comfort by zipping/unzipping the jersey, while the merino base layer never felt like too much. Like I said, it was pretty perfect.

  Fit, function and performance

  As a fan of merino already I admit I’m biased. Just to add my penny or Euro to the mix. Large fits me perfectly. 178cm, 72kg. No race physique- well formed-wry smile. The feel for the grade of merino you utilise. How it fits me. Ideal for my riding ethos be it commuting or day long exploration- it just works. As many designer can attest, the best bits can of your endeavours often go unnoticed because they work so well, you don’t appreciate how well they work.

  Great baselayer for cold-ish days

  Really love the baselayer. I usually wear size M (181cm, 70kg) and size M fits perfectly. It’s perfect for autumn/ early winter days. Really soft on the skin and perfect temperature/moisture management. Clear recommendation!

  Comfortable Base Layer

  Fantastic shipping - I purchased this base layer on Sunday and received the package in NYC on Tuesday. I purchased a size L (185 cm/ 85 kg) and it fits perfect. I love the fabric as it is really comfortable and soft. This is a versatile base layer that has worked for me so far in the early fall weather as well as in slightly colder temperatures in the morning. So far I’ve worn this with a light long sleeve thermal jersey and a the Debut wind jacket in temps from 6 C to 13 C and stayed comfortable throughout my rides.

  Supreme comfort and performance

  Maybe a little biased but nature’s fabrics which evolve over time for good reason. Thus producing a piece of clothing or apparel from such fabric is likely to work. Use an appropriate yarn thread count with the right design and fit- it work seamlessly-pun intended. Especially practical on a bikepacking adventure. What more do you need?

  The Best Base

  OK, I have a complete wardrobe of Isadore kit. I love it all. I have put a reviews on the Signature Short Sleeved Jersey and Long Sleeved Jersey that included the base layer...but really...this needs to be shouted from the highest rooftops...YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER BASE LAYER ANYWHERE. "Does better than it says on the tin". Warm in the cold, cool in the heat. Comfortable. I now have several for my 'none cycling wardrobe' because these are stylish too with that collar detail. Do try one size up, but if you get it wrong then I have honestly never had an easier company to deal with. This was underscored when I ordered another base layer on Wednesday and it came on Friday! How did they do that? Oh, they wash well and dry quickly too.

  Base Layer Revelation

  Apart from shorts I have never bought cycling specific kit. Too expensive and my size fluctuates too much. But at 55 years old in the UK weather I thought it was about time. WHAT a decision that proved to be. There is enough information on here regarding the technical aspects of this base layer. They are all correct and this base layer delivers in bucket loads. Warm in the cold weather, wicking and cooling in the hot. I am 180cm (6ft) and a slim long limbed physique with some youthful musculature remaining at 55 years old with a <100cm (<40inches). Large fits perfectly. Perfect. Quality superb. Comfy as. Couldn't be happier. Will be buying more stuff to go with this and the LS Jersey (large) I bought with which I was equally happy. Problem is this is such good quality it will last a long time and so my visits here won't be as frequent as Isadore would like.

  sizing

  im around 78kg and 179cm tall. i compared M and L. Large is more comfy and looser. Medium fits really well, tight but still comfy. my built is muscular and i was afraid the medium would be tooo tight but its not. its just perfect. the material feels awesome, looks well made and the first ride in it was more then satisfiying. this will not be the last product of isadore.

  Comfortable and breathable

  Had my 100% Merino SS baselayer for a couple of years now, and it still feels very soft and comfortable against the skin. Mine did shrink a little after a few washes even after following the care instructions, so in future I might be inclined to size up.

  I wear size L but next time i will try XL. I'm 1.93 and 78 kilo. Jersey is L but bas will be XL. Top quality, always wear Rapha, but this is much thicker and it fits better.

  Light enough to wear in warm weather, but warm enough also to be worn in rather chilly mornings. Very breathable and odorless if you do multiple day rides. I followed the advice to take a size bigger. Took size L, I'm 186cm and weight 73 kg

  Had the l/s for a few years and it's been great. Don't know why but tried 2 other brands before going back to Isadore. It was the only one that fitted well, didn't itch and keeps me warm. You pay for quality.

  I'm using it in winter (under a jacket) and I used it in summer (below my Echelon Jersey) and it keeps perfectly the body temperature. And the cut is really comfy. Only your skin has the same body fit :)

  hatte urspruenglich grau bestellt - "leider" gab es nur noch golden oak. seit dem ersten mal ausfahren bin ich ziemlich gluecklich mit golden oak. werde noch ein grau bestellen sobald es wieder verfuegbar ist. komfort, optik, gefuehl - alles passt. bezgl. groesse: wuerde im zweifel zur groesseren variante raten. mein SS in L ist sehr sehr knapp. XL passt ohne, dass irgendwo ewtas flattert - laut tabelle wuerde ich mit 190cm und 81kg ziemlich dazischen liegen.

  Perfect baselayer

  Short sleeve baselayer is thinner then the longsleeve baselayer. I am 175, 84 kg and wear an L. The baselayer is also longer then the longsleeve baselayer and covers more of your thighs. The quality is awesome after several times of washing it still looks as new - highly recommendable I just ordered a new one in grey

  A superb piece of kit, standing up well to lots of use. I love the transferred on washing instructions. I find the fit great with arm length, torso length and head size all being just right. Doesn't ride up, doesn't develop smells and looks good

  Excellent baselayer but watch the sizing...

  Really nice material, quite thin but it seems to suit a wide range of temparatures. I like the design at the neck. I wear size medium in Isadore jerseys and shorts, and bought this baselayer in medium. It was a fairly snug fit, but after the first wash it shrunk slightly, and is now a bit on the tight side, and quite short at the waist. (I followed the washing instructions!) Having been so impressed with the quality of other Isadore garments I was a bit disappointed, but I will buy more baselayers in size large to allow for shrinkage...

  Very good quality, very tight fit

  Well, if you know Merino, you know what it's worth. This piece is no exception. What you need to know, is that sizing is really tight. I usually wear L in all my shirts and trikots, which gives me a good fit. This baselayer is tighter than any other piece of wardrobe so far. I took XL, if I were to buy another one.

  Athletic slim fit

  Unboxing Isadore is like opening jewelry box. When trying on the tight fit is paramount for baselayer. This is tight at XXL for 193cm and 78kg with 96cm chest exhaled. XL is also good but I was afraid of possible shrinking after multiple washing and this is baselayer which is washed often, plus the extra cm to cover the back. I have the LONG SLEEVE JERSEY INDIGO BLUE in L (though XL would be very good fit as well) for reference and XL for bibs. It is a bit itchy for the first moment as almost all merinos but after a while I forget about it.

  If you are going to wear a base-layer it wants to be fabulous. These are, riding or socializing these are great, tight fitting so if you work out and want people to notice wear the base as a t-shirt and with the shaped collar it looks the dogs wotsits, on the road all day comfortable and keeps me warm and feeling dry. Top product !!!!

  Stylish second skin

  I have the short sleeve merino in black. This is like a second skin, so comfortable you don't feel you have this base-layer on. It evacuates sweat, so no uncomfortable feeling from this shirt when riding hard. It adds warmth without one feeling it, so good base-layer for intermediate temperatures (10-20° C.). Very stylish!

  A really good buy.

  I have two of these vests and they wash well, dry quickly, do not shrink or stretch. They are comfortable through a wide temperature range and wick moisture well, they do not become itchy when damp. The vests are also good for wearing casually after a ride. Hopefully, Isadore will add a few more colours to the range.

  Light, Comfort & Function

  I have a few Isadore base layers now and I don't wear any other. The merino is soft and supremely comfortable. I always wear a base, even in summer (a vest), and these are excellent for wicking moisture away. They have no odour so you don't need to worry about the cafe stop. Wash them carefully (30 degrees maximum and use delicate cleaning agents) of course, and they stay like new.

  Quality for a great price (bought at a promotional discount). Excellent material. 183 cm, 78 kg - first S (I like the base layer tight) but it was short. Finally the XL was a good choice. Tight and long enough. Excellent communication and customer service. Fast and trouble-free exchange of goods. They even sent me a model from the new edition during the exchange.

  Teueres aber gutes Unterhemd aus 100% Merino. Die bestellte Grösse bei 178 cm und ca.76 kg war L. Dieses war viel zu klein und eng. Der Umtausch in XL war problemlos. In Verbindung mit dem Langarmtrikot von Isadore eine gute Lösung. Es kann bis zum waschen öfters getragen werden, Auslüften genügt, keine Geruchsentwicklung.

  VERY GOOD PRODUCT, BAD CUT...

  I'm very happy with Isadore signature jerseys! Size S fits perfect for me. So I decided to order 2 baselayers size S(one SL and one SS). They were suprisingly too small for me ; I had the impression to wear my child clothes! I exchange both for Medium size as Isadore Return and Exchange works very well. SL baselayer fits perfect but SS one remains too short in M and therefore very uncomfortable. Anyway, I'm happy with the first one. I wear it as often as I can. Nevertheless, I have to admit that I hesitate to order other Isadore articles because of this size/cut issue.

  Nátelnik s výbornými termoregulačnými vlastnosťami vhodný aj na iné outdoorové aktivity, ako je cyklistika. Pri kúpe odporúčam vybrať o číslo väčší nátelník, vzhľadom na to, že je vyrobený z vlny a po vypratí má tendenciu sa zrážať. Prať len ručne!

Größe M der britischen Konkurrenz (R.) ist mir etwas zu lang, drauf sitzen mag ich nicht.. Also tendenziell eine Nummer größer, wenn man das racemäßige nicht so mag...

  I used to buy my merion baselayer from another carrier. But now that I know the Isadore quality I'll always get them here. They fit tightly and keep me warm on cold morning rides. They don't get hot when the temperatures rise. Perfect.

  I used it for cycling and running during cold spring and it amazes me. It keeps me warm and dry even if sweating. It is also very comfortable and superbly cut. I am 191 cm, skinny but with wide shoulders and L size fits great.

  Der Wollstoff ist von hoher Qualität (dünn, gute Dehnbarkeit und doch abriebfest) doch für meine Größe (193 cm) ist selbst die größte Größe zu kurz. Ich habe selbst 10 cm unten dran genäht. Dann ist es gut.

  Too short in the waist

  This baselayer is nice and warm. However, importantly for the recommended size it is too short in the waist. As a result the waist is exposed to the cold as the baselayer rides up during exercise. the baselayer should be at least 4 inches longer so that it stays tucked in.

  Looks good but the durability is poor

  it's a race cut fit, that holds body well. however, i do not like it got wrinkled, side seams were twisted and a small hole on chest near decoration after the first wash. i always throw my cycling kits into laudry bag. it's kind of disapointed though.

  Great but a question of durability.

  A really excellent baselayer, warm and effective on brisk Melbourne mornings, great fit as well. Only problem is after first wash got a number of holes in random locations, washed on light setting, top loader as per directions with a wool & delicate detergent along with similar cycling delicates..
