Icelandic adventure: The arctic blue Hvíta River

People have been talking a lot about Iceland lately. You probably even have a friend who’s been there, or is at least planning to go in the nearest future.

But what’s so attractive and magical about this place?

EVERYTHING

It’s authentic. It’s so different from the scenery anywhere else, no wonder so many people find it to be a perfect place to escape from their routine. Even just for a little while. Its towns have their own charm, but the nature is even more alluring.

We were cycling close to Hvita — the largest river in the Borgarfjörður region. In Icelandic, its name means “White river”. In spite of the name, some parts of the river are marvelously cyan — thanks to the Hvítárvatn glacier lake, where the river springs.

If you happen to cycle along Hvita, you may want to see a fascinating man-made object — the Hvita-bridge. It is a single-lane road bridge that connects the south and north of Iceland — one of the most photogenic bridges on the island.

For this trip we wore the Long Sleeve Shield Jersey Arctic that perfectly harmonizes with the local views.

The jersey is from Merino bi-component material — your body will stay warm throughout Shield jersey keeps your chest protected from the wind and rain — it is enhanced with superlight windshield membrane on the most exposed area.

The area is so peaceful that you reach a nearly meditative state.

Long sleeve Merino Jersey in Arctic blue also perfectly harmonizes with the local views.
